CTRT – The Game Changer
தீதும் நன்றும் பிறர் தர வாரா — “Theethum Nandrum Pirar Thara Vaara” – these timeless Tamil words remind us that what we experience in life comes from our own choices. Yet for years, I often found myself wondering why people — including myself — said or did certain things that left me confused and frustrated.
That was until Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (CTRT) entered my life. It changed not just how I understood human behaviour, but how I understood myself. I realized that frustration often arises not from others, but from forgetting that we always have a choice.
My greatest transformation came in my relationship with my son. For 20 years, I held the belief, “I know what’s best for you,” which only pushed us apart. CTRT helped me see that external control ruins relationships. Letting go of that faulty belief opened a door I thought I had lost forever — a beautiful, honest, and loving mother–son bond.
From that moment on, life has never been the same. It was once all about my needs; now, I see and value others’ needs too. CTRT gave me the tools to understand myself and others through its simplicity and wisdom — from the brain chart and ten axioms to the quality world concepts. Every stage of learning refined not only my understanding but also the way I relate, choose, and create harmony within relationships.
And at the heart of this journey stands Dr Farida Ma’am—an inspiration who models courage, authenticity, and compassion. She has a rare way of making us face our fears without fear, guiding us toward real change. Meeting her has been one of life’s greatest gifts.
CTRT isn’t just a concept—it’s a life skill. It transforms how we think, live, and relate. And once you experience it, you’ll never look at life the same way again. CTRT is universal — relevant to all ages, professions, and cultures.
